Tobin Ansong is a manager on the central office team at Scotiabank. He works with his team to manage two products: Limit Administration Management System (LAMS) and Risk Adjudication (Ra). LAMS is Bank of Nova Scotia’s internal desktop computer software system. It enables users to access the bank’s market risk limits, change limits, and locate historical limit documents. Ra is a workflow automation tool that helps risk managers track limit requests, like a Trello board.

Mr. Ansong is the founder of the Professional Advisory Council to the Dalhousie Economics Department and serves as its chairman. The council aims to provide a channel that will keep alumni connected and engaged.

Mr. Ansong earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Francis University and a Master of Finance from Queen’s University. He also holds the following certifications: Charted Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager, Charted Alternative Investment Analyst, Derivatives Market Specialist, and Professional Scrum Master I.
